Cornus can be deciduous shrubs or trees, or creeping, woody-based perennials, some with brightly coloured young stems. Tiny flowers are borne in dense clusters, sometimes with showy bracts. Many have fine autumn colour
Short description
Cornus 'White Fontaine', also known as Weisse Fontaine, produces masses of pure white flower bracts in June against green foliage, creating a cascading fountain effect. The flowers are followed in late summer by small red/pink edible fruitlets, which look a bit like small raspberries. The pointy, oval shaped foliage turns a rich, brick red with tones of pink and gold in the autumn.
